Air Pollution

Air pollution is a mixture of natural and man-made substances in the air we breathe. Polluted air also promotes different kinds of diseases: respiratory diseases such as asthma, cardiovascular diseases, changes in lung function, and death). Air pollution is also from the smoke that is coming from jeepney’s, tricycles, factories, and others. What if you ride a bike if you go to a near place instead of riding your car. It will be a good help for us and it decrease the polluted air that we are breathing. Burning plastics also contributes to air pollution and health hazards that cannot be ignored. It is better to bury the the plastics than to burn it. Burning plastics in the backyard contribute to increasing of
the risk of heart disease, aggravate respiratory ailments such as asthma and emphysema, and cause rashes, nausea,
or headaches, damages in the nervous system, kidney or liver, in the reproductive and development system. Cigarettes is also part of this.

Factories and power plants produce large amounts of smoke into the atmosphere which pollutes the air. Eventually the toxic chemicals in smoke fall to the ground, and then they pollute the soil and the water. When the air, soil and water are polluted with toxic chemicals, the chemicals also get absorbed by plants and animals (including humans).

What people can do to help?

-We need to separate plastic waste from other waste. Do not burn any
plastics in your yard or house.

-Buy products that we can reuse.

-Bury the plastics in your backyard. DON’T BURN IT..!

-Instead of using your car, use your bike.

-Recycle

My experience about burning or burying plastics is that instead of burying or burning. We collected all the plastics and plastic bottles in our campus. The plastic bottles is for our Chemistry project, we sold it for recycling. While the plastics, our MAPEH teacher assigned us to collect all the plastics in our campus or even outside the campus. We have to cleaned it so that the smell will fade, after that each group has to cut it into small pieces. It was a requirement in order for us to take the 2nd periodical test. According to our MAPEH teacher they will use it to make mats for our cheerleaders when they have practice. I think this was a good help for our environment.

Go Green with Biking

As a biker, I ride my bike 20 minutes everyday especially at noon. Riding my bike is a great thing because I can smell fresh air and I can really see the place and its beauty. I really love biking because I think it’s a good exercise and I know I can help the environment. Sometimes on weekends my friends and I ride our bicycles and we cruise around our place and sometimes we visit the farms, to smell fresh air. We hate when we go to the city because we really hate the smell of the smokes coming from the jeepneys. Sometimes I encourage some of my classmates to ride their bikes with us instead of taking jeepneys or tricycle.

I also learned that riding a bicycle is a great way to contribute to the preservation of our eco system and environment here on our great planet earth. Many people are concerned with pollution and many other things that damage and dissolve the ozone and cause the atmosphere to be dirty. If we all contributed with one small thing that we can change in our daily living routines to help with the protection of the earth, perhaps we could, as a collective, make a substantial impact for the better.

One way to go green and contribute to the preservation of our environment is sometimes riding a bicycle instead of starting up the car or motorcycle. Driving and operating vehicles is one thing that many countless people do on a daily basis that harms the environment.

To know more about biking.

We should all ride our bikes to help our environment..!

Question: How is my camp blog experience so far? What do I like best? What do I like least?

My camp blog experience so far is really fun and unforgettable.  Fun because I met new friends and all the participants are really friendly and fun to be with. Even though we came from different provinces. The venue is a great place, I love this place because it has a lot of trees and almost everything is green. I can breathe fresh air and I don’t see any polluted air nor water. The foods are delicious, really delicious. The villas are cold and clean (hehehe). Well, being part of this seminar is a great experience I learned a lot of things, especially blogging. Everything I learned is very useful for me in the future. I can share it to my school mates when I go back in our province.  What I like best in camp blog is the foods. Also, learning things especially during lecture time if even though sometimes I’m sleepy listening to the person in front but i’m trying to be awake because that lecture is really important. I also like when we have workshops because thats when we have to apply what we learned. What I like least in camp blog is not having free time to cruise around, not having time to see the beautiful spots in Pampanga.

Question: What is your favorite function in wordpress that can help you market/develop your blog?

My most favorite function in wordpress is embedding because I can just upload an image and I can share it to others. In just one picture you can make a story of it. Using pictures is useful so that you can explain what you are blogging about or use it as an evidence that you made that or something. Also, uploading a video is also my favorite because I think if they visit my blog they can understand what am I blogging all about. People like watching or viewing an image than reading so I think I’d rather upload an image or video for them to be interested in visiting my blog. But I will also add some description about the picture or the video.

In the other hand all the functions in wordpress is very useful. It will help me develop my blog well and to make my blog better.

BLOGGING IS REALLY FUN….!

Let’s keep blogging…

My Unforgettable Experience in Camp Blog

Place: Mimosa Leisure Estate, Angeles City, Pampanga

This is a picture of Mimosa Flower.

One of the most memorable experience here in Camp Blog 1B is when my team mates forced me to present infront of Science and English teams about Manny Villar, if voters should vote for him or not. I had to present in front even though I’m not ready because I don’t want my team mates to be disappointed on me. It was not the best presentation because it was my first time presenting in a formal way. I had a lot of presentations in the past but these one is different.  But we researched about Manny Villar’s early life, past positions and others. This was memorable to me because as I said it’s my first presentation here in Camp Blog. But I guess it was a good practice and in the future maybe I will present something that is much better that my first presentation. We always have our first….

Meeting new friends is also one of the most memorable experience here in Camp Blog. They are so friendly and some of the teachers are very funny and fun to be with.

I’m looking forward into having more unforgettable experiences here in Mimosa Leisure Estate. So that I can share it when I go back in Ilocos Norte.

I’m so thankful that ischools Camp Blog gave us an opportunity to have a seminar like this.

Question: Why did I choose that topic?

I chose “Loving our Environment” as my topic because I love our environment and I really care about it. This is my topic because I can share some of my experiences in my place/school that we did to help save mother earth and instead of burning plastics we collected and cut it into small pieces. According to our MAPEH adviser they will make a mats for our gymnasts for them to use on they’re practice. Also, in my blog I will put about what are the diseases that we may get for breathing a polluted air from our transportations (jeepneys, tricycles and others.) and also the smokes that come from the factories.
